About this event
Dartington Community Choir, with soloists and the Dartington Sinfonietta, under the baton of Simon Dunbavand perform Solomon. Thrill to Handel’s lavish choruses, memorable arias – and the arrival of the Queen of Sheba!
Fantastic and memorable melodies, daring and vibrant orchestral textures, punctuated with lavish choral outbursts and glorious, solemn chords: Handel’s Solomon is a musical feast, caressing our ears in a celebration of wisdom and justice.
Solomon Hayes (countertenor) sings Solomon, with Keri Fuge (soprano) as Solomon’s Queen, First Woman, and Queen of Sheba. Harriet Oakley (soprano) sings Second Woman, with Jonathan Lucas Wood (tenor) singing the role of Zadok. Tim Murfin (bass) takes the part of the Levite.
This all promises a truly thrilling evening!
